Drove Guy, to school every day for two years. Played football beside you for two years. We skipped school, after football was over and went rabbit hunting at my uncle's farm. Even double dated a few times. Life goes on, I miss those TIMES and YOU. Neal Coker, '57

Love relieves all boundaries,
even those imposed by death.
Love relives in memories
brought to life by breath.
Speak of your lost loved one,
let him hear your joy and pain.
Know his soul is with you
forever to remain
a part of you in all you do,
even unto death,
for love relives in memories
brought to life by breath.
What a beautiful soul he was!

I met Guy in 1981 when I went to work for the Federal Home Loan Bank Board. We kept in touch over the years and I loved that I could always make him laugh, no matter how glum he felt. He was a kind man and I will miss him.

Guy was my friend and classmate at SOC and would always make a point to visit with me and my husband at reunions. I will miss him.

In the fall of 55, Guy and i were designated captains against Pleasant Grove. We did our coin flip thing and went back into the fieldhouse. Unbeknownst to us the team had come onto the field. No crowd noise because hardly anyone was there. He and I got more cheers than when the team came out. Guy and I had on three colors that night. Our usual gold and white plus our red faces.
So long pardner.

In 1958, at SOC, I was a skinney, scared, preachers kid with thick glasses. Guy Reese was a sports hero. He was a friend, who treated me with gentle acceptance and gave me confidence, even when we were just "guys." SOC 58 lost a special classmate.
