Read MoreI met Guy about two years ago when came on board a hardware project destined for the International Space Station. He was an extremely talented individual and very laid back, not easily ruffled by the pressures of tight schedules. I feel very honored to have met and been able to work with him.

Guy Allen was my cousin and I always looked forward to seeing him at family reunions. We would discuss his current "space project" and I was astounded at all he was involved in. Everyone in the Smith family will miss him terribly. God bless his family as they grieve and learn to live without his rock solid presence.

I worked "next door" to Guy at UAH for years - he was the nicest, kindest, and most genuine person I think I ever met. He will be missed. My prayers go out to his family.
