WITHEY, Guy V. – Of Flint, age 89, died Monday, May 22, 2017 at McLaren-Flint.
Memorial Service will be held at 12 Noon Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Steve Bentley officiating.
Cremation has taken place.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.
Visitation 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the memorial service at the funeral home.
Guy was born in Clarksdale, Arizona on October 14, 1927, the son of the late Guy and Edith Withey and was a resident of Flint most of his life.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the American Legion.
Mr. Withey was employed by Chevrolet Metal Fab for 33 years.
Surviving are son, Dave (Pat);
step-daughter, Debbie (Dave) Campbell;
four grandchildren, David (Holly),
Becky (Andrew) McGuire, Guy Lucas Watts and Ian Campbell;
8 great-grandchildren, Brianna, Andrew II, Rylee, Mary, Tyler, Stevie, Toban and Alex;
3 brothers, Robert, David (Edie) and Sandy (Mary);
one sister, Marie (Larry) Zucker and
sister-in-law, Mavis Withey.
He was preceded in death by his wife, MaryLou and second wife, Jane; daughters, Belinda Watts and Channe Withey; grandson, Duane Steven Watts; brother, Harold; sisters, Alice Davis and Donna Baldwin.

Oh Uncle Guy, I can still hear your laugh. I haven't seen you in awhile but you somehow always put a smile on my face. I know you are with the ladies now. In heaven. My thoughts to the family you left behind.
