Not sure what to say?

I had no idea Gwen had passed....hard to believe. Had re-connected w her not so long ago. worked w her on Mackinac Island. No one more proud of her heritage and the farm in Perry County. My condolences to you all.

Please accept our sympathy in the passing of Gwen. My husband and I live on Darius Drive and just found out about her passing. We are so sorry we did not know of the circumstances; we would have attended her services. Gwen was a wonderful neighbor and person. We truly looked forward to speaking with her from our decks :) Your family is in our prayers. God Bless.

I knew Gwen when she used to participate in Crossfire, a Christian Singles Org. Her, myself and a good friend, Alan Shenk, used to 'pal' around a lot together. She was a good athlete (giving us boys a run for our money in basketball) and a good friend.
I'd lost touch with her over the years, so I am shocked to hear she's gone.
What a wonderful, classy person she was.

My friend. you've left us Standing alone. For you are not here with us And somewhere deep inside our hearts My friend you will always be.

I know you couldn't help it And you didn't want to go But, nonetheless you left us Sad, Although we have other friends so close, We don't know why it is But, We miss you our friend.

Your kindness unto others Has washed up onto us. You helped us see. You have been so good And as We let you go We know you were a true friend And because...

wow, I am still in shock. Not being connected to Perry County news as I used to be through my mother I just read Gwen's obituary in the online Perry County Times and am truely saddened. I am so thankful to ready the entries in this guestbook just to learn more about how Gwen (my cuz) has grown in the Lord. I want to express my deepest sympathy to the entire family.

Bower Family,
Please accept my sympathy and condolences for the passing of a child of God, daughter, sister, wife, mother and a great spiritual leader in the government of PA. I will miss reading her enlightening and well written, informative emails about this great State. I have never met her personally but have a family member who attends her church. May your memories forever penetrate your souls! Know that your being thought of and prayed for, Pegan Day

It is hard to believe Gwen is gone from this world. She will be so greatly missed but all who knew her know that she is in heaven with our Lord. We met as young children in Blain, lost touch here and there, exchanged Christmas cards over the years and one overwhelming theme in her life was her love for the Lord. She was always so upbeat in her notes about what God was doing in her life and the blessings He provided. I can't begin to tell you how much her letters meant to me as I walked...

To everyone who could not make the funeral service:

It was without a doubt one of the most spiritual and heartfelt times I've experienced. As shown through the sermons, Gwen's character and religious conviction demonstrated both a testament to her life as well as a reminder to everyone of the tremendous power of personal optimism and love of life.
