John Haug I came to work at Kern Oil in Jan 2007. One of my many tasks was to review accounting records regarding refinery feedstock rates. A very tedious task that Gwen made possible with her great patience with me. I'll always appreciate that effort. May she rest in peace. Condolences to her family.

To Gwen's family, so sorry for your loss. Gwen was a co-worker when I worked with at Kern Oil. She was a great co-worker and a very funny person. She is one of the rare persons who started a job as a summer hire and never left. She dedicated all her adult life towards a career that lasted decades. That is a very commendable. She will be missed.

Gwen interviewed me for an AR position at Kern Oil & Refining Co. While most employers ask you the typical questions like "why do you want to work here" or "why should we hire you", Gwen shocked me when the first thing she said was " You´re not a moron, are you?" I busted up laughing and told her " you´re gonna have to hire me to find out" and we instantly connected. She would always tell me I was her favorite and she was mine too. She was an open book and I loved talking to her for hours and...

Gwen never failed to make those around her laugh. It was well known about her and she never failed to deliver. It was truly a special skill possessed by a very special person.
