H. Don Cameron

I was a student in Dr Cameron's Great Books course and later, briefly, in Introductory Greek in 1965-66. He was one of handful of truly great teachers I have been privileged to have over the course of my life. I still remember him intoning in Greek the family names and the number of ships they sent to Troy; his reading of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to teach us the power of repetition in oral poetry; and I believe I can still recite the opening lines of the Gospel of John that I learned...

Loved Knowing Don. as a friend at Arthur Hills high school and also first Congregational Church saginaw Michigan. Sorry I missed all his Wonderful years after 1952.
