I was deeply saddened to learn of Brother Jack's passing when I saw the obituaries this past week. I served under him at Prays Mill Baptist as his Minister to Youth. I loved him and Lorene and learned so much from him. He always modeled Christ and lived the Lord before us all. He also had a great sense of humor. He was a great servant of the Lord and will be dearly missed. Heaven is sweeter because of his presence there. I am grateful for his life and contribution to my life and ministry now....

Reverend Evans was the defining example of what a Man of God really should be. He had the life to go with his sermons and showed compassion to all in need. He will be greatly missed in the community.

My daughter (Loren Reynolds) and mother (May Roberts) are both members of Central Baptist Church. This year has been difficult for our family with both mom and Loren undergoing major surgical procedures and facing life-changing circumstances. Pastor Jack Evans was so consistent in visiting and attending to our spiritual needs in time of crisis and I cannot begin to express what a comfort his visits were to me personally. When he prayed over my loved ones prior to their surgeries, I felt the...
