I recently thought about dr Fontek and searched to see if he was still in Staten Island. I´m saddened to hear of his passing. I will miss his jolly face and smile always easing my fears with his funny stories.. his favorite line after waiting for the sweet air to kick in was tell me when I look good looking to u, then I know ur ready. Always making us laugh and genuinely a kind, gentle dentist and man. Rest in peace. He also always had stories of his children and grandchildren. Such pride...

Dr. Funtek was my family doctor back in the 80s. He was very humorous and I always enjoyed going to the dentist because of him. I miss him and you have my condolences.
