Dear Flo, Mike, Sue, Cheri- I was saddened to read that Norm had passed on. I remember meeting him for lunch a few times when I was working in Wilbraham for Prudential back in the early nineties. I enjoyed those moments.
What clearly comes to mind dates back many years. Norm was on his way home up Cottage Street in the afternoon when he came across my mother lying on the sidewalk. He knew something was not right and quickly stopped to see if he could help. Mom had stepped in a hole and...

I remember Mr. Gurwitz s a child, My father was a farmer in West Brookfield. I have good memories of him at both the store and at my dad's farm( C.F.Smith). So sorry of your loss.
