Read MoreI shall miss him! After my father, OC (Pete) McCarn, MD, passed in 1960, he visited us every Sunday, such a thoughtful and kind man he was. I would ski with the family in Colorado while I lived in Grand Junction. On my occasional visits back to the States while living in Vienna, I´d bring him a bottle or two of champagne. There are stories!

I had the privilege of working with Dr. Hughes at Norwood Clinic. He was one of the kindest, most caring physicians I have ever known. Never raised his voice or spoke unkindly to anyone. The world needs more like him.

Dr. Hughes was my doctor when I first found out that I had diabetes. I was in a coma by the time we reached the hospital. I now live in Athens,Alabama. I am 72 years old and I was 12 when he became my doctor. I will always remember him for the kind person and doctor that he was. Jean Graham Ridinger
