H. Grant Maynard, 85, our beloved father, and grandfather passed away on Monday April 28th 2014. Grant was born July 10, 1928 to Vernon John and Gertrude Reynolds Maynard in Riverton, Utah. He married Alta Bills on October 30, 1948. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
Grant was an active member of the L.D.S. church devoted friend, neighbor, and home teacher. He loved serving others, fishing, camping and spending time with his family. He loved the winters spent in Arizona and special friends he had there. He retired from Kennecott Copper after 33 years. He will be missed by his family. "We Love You Dad"
He is survived by his loving daughters: Made Lloyd (Ross), JoLayne Stocking (Craig), Trudy Gardiner (Duane), Geri Christensen (Kevin), 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren, sisters: Lorraine Adams and Gloria Christiansen & he was preceded in death by his Loving Wife Alta, his parents, brothers: Arlin, Jim, Wes, & Dale, and sisters: Dorothy, Virginia, and Lovella.
Funeral Services will be held at the Riverton 1st Ward, 1500 W. 13200 So. Riverton, at 11:00 am on Friday May 2nd 2014, friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 at Broomhead Funeral Home 2200 W. 12600 So., Riverton, and at the church on Friday one hour prior to services. Interment will be at the Riverton City Cemetery.
