I was in Mr Metzger's first advisory group during his first year at New Trier, 1961. He had an incredible impact on my life, and I remember him with great fondness and respect. He drove an old beat up Nash Rambler, and the advisory bought him a Volkswagon to replace the old rust bucket. The administration made him give it back. We really loved him. It is with great sadness that I have learned of his passing.
