H. Joseph Presser

PRESSER, H. Joseph - Of Traverse City, formerly of Fenton, age 71, died Monday, March 10, 2003 in Tampa, Florida. Funeral service will be held at 2PM Monday, March 17, 2003 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Father David Harvey officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. Visitation 4-7PM Saturday and 2-6PM Sunday at the funeral home. Joe was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 21, 1931. He married Patricia McClellan on October 2, 1949 in Covington, Kentucky. Joe retired as an executive engineer with General Motors in August 1991. Surviving are wife, Patricia; son, Michael of Rochester Hills; 3 daughters, Debra and husband Darrell Boyd of Grand Blanc, Marcia and husband Robert Cordero of Troy, Tricia and husband Scott Overfield of Fenton; 8 grandchildren, Stephanie and husband Ryan Whitmore of Grand Rapids, Christopher Boyd and fiancee' Laurie Gould of Grand Blanc, Matthew and wife Jennifer Dunfield of Sterling Heights, Todd Dunfield of Troy, Jennifer Presser and Brian Presser, both of Rochester Hills, Courtney Overfield and Katie Overfield, both of Fenton; 1 great-grandson, Joseph Whitmore, born March 10, 2003; brother, Robert and wife Jane of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret.
