Memories, memories, glorious memories. Such happy times were those in the early '70s at Finger Lakes with Bette & H David, Ron Terry and Doc Winn-to name a few. Ron and I spent many an evening at the farm with Bette and H David-discussing the days events while sipping wine. What an honorable man-such a kind and gentle heart. Sitting today with Ron and Doc and telling great tales of days gone by. Farewell, my friend. Until we meet again...

My mother called last night with the sad news. Only two weeks ago I had been up to the Hook visiting and showing my youngest daughter where I grew up. Such fond memories and details still so clearly and dearly locked in after so many years. Farming was a hard life but Dave saw the writing on the wall pretty early. But for a kid growing up I saw only the fun stuff, making forts in the hay barn and apple trees, sledding down the hill, and exploring every acre of the farm. Sure, there were less...

Dear Dad, You were always there, whether we agreed or agreed to disagree, you were always there. But then one day the sky opened up and you were gone. At the cemetery yesterday when we said our final goodbyes, the sky was so blue, the sun so warm and the clouds so billowy... it sure looked like heaven, where you might have been smiling down on us.
