Not sure what to say?

Dr. Blacker was my mentor and friend; he is number one on my personal “most admired” list. Marty’s intellect and skills have helped countless patients and his professionalism has inspired an entire generation of Neurosurgeons. Love you and miss you, Dr. Blacker. Phillip Tibbs.

TO JEANNE AND FAMILY,
OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY AND MANY PRAYERS ARE WITH
YOU AND FAMILY AT THIS SAD TIME.

Dr. Blacker was an extraordinary Physician and Neurosurgeon. He inspired many young physicians, myself included, to pursue careers in the neurosciences. He was clearly the best teacher at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine during his tenure there. Dr. Blacker will be greatly missed by a generation of neurosurgeons who were privileged to be his students and residents.
