Not sure what to say?

Please accept my condolences. Tom was a wonderful person and made a significant impact on those around him.

When I was a young boy I had many heroes that I looked up to, usually silly heroes like athletes or action movie stars but as you get older your heroes that you look up to become more real and more relevant to who you are. Tom Boward was one of those heroes to me. As an educator and a man he was someone I hoped to be more like. He had an innate ability of meeting people where they were at and directing them down the road to reach their potential. He had a natural talent for making a...

Sorry for the Loss

I coached against Tom in the late 70's. He was an excellent coach and a great guy! So sorry to read of his passing. My thoughts and prayers to his family. Gerry Thornton

Thoughts and prayers go out to Tom´s wife (Shirley) and to the Boward family. Tom mentored an incredible number of students and guided many successful teachers. He had a huge positive impact on the Tri-Valley Community and everyone he worked with. For me personally, he was a father figure and close friend. I was a former student, athlete, assistant coach, and fellow teacher of Tom´s. He will be greatly missed.

The world has lost a beautiful soul. Our heart and prayers go out to the family.

Single Memorial Tree

Very sad for Shirley and the family. Tom and Shirley honored me by asking me to be their Best Man in their wedding 58 years ago. I have many cherished memories of my times with them. I will carry those memories deeply in my heart forever. May Tom rest in peace, and may the family be comforted in knowing that Tom was an excellent husband, father, grandfather, and dear friend. Bill Charis, Mason City High School class of 1963.

As a classmate since first grade, I can say that Tom was one of the good guys. Friendly, respectful to all, great sense of humor, a positive contributor to humanity. When I think of Tom, I immediately hear his voice and great laugh. He married well. Shirley and family, I offer you my deep sympathy. I will miss Tom.
