Hesser, H. Mark
Nov. 4, 1955 - April 5, 2018
Mark Hesser went to heaven on April 5th, 2018, surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Tracy Ponder Hesser, their daughters Ashley Spanos (husband Vic), Sarah Ramos (husband Chris) and their son Aaron Hesser (fiancé Victoria). Mark was the proud grand-father to Dillon, Alexandra, Cayden, Elliot and Nico. Mark's siblings include John, Larry and Connie, together with their spouses, Thoma, Sharon and Syril. Mark was a strong leader of his family who loved and cherished them with all his heart. He will be greatly missed.
A man of great character, Mark touched many lives. His commitment to helping others was exemplified by his contribution to cancer research by participating in multiple clinical trials at the National Institute of Health. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the National Institute of Health https://www.cancer.gov/about-nci/overview/contributing or to South Shore Community Church; 1899 S. Tuttle Avenue, Sarasota.
A Celebration of Life will be held at South Shore Community Church, 1899 S. Tuttle Avenue, Sarasota on Saturday, April 14th at 2pm.

Not sure what to say?

Dear Hesser Family,
I wish cancer was never a part of Mark's life but he faced his challenges with grace and dignity and forever made an impression on me. A man's character can be measured by his friends and I was fortunate to meet some of Mark's friends, they all showed a tremendous love for their lifelong friend. I pray that your memories bring you comfort and a smile when you need it most.
