What an amazing person who had such an influence on me. Even though he accepted me as a colleague, in my mind I was always that 20 year old student in his band. A remarkable musician, leader, teacher, mentor, influencer. The music teaching profession was forever changed for the better by him. Just the end of an era. Godspeed Professor H Robert Reynolds.

I was a member of the UW-Madison Band during Bob Reynold's first year at Wisconsin. It was a difficult year for him, but he took a program with great historical heritage into a "new era"! I have been forever blessed with his advice, talent, and friendship ever since. I was in the first ever " UW Wind Ensemble" established by Bob, and eventually was on the music band staff at Madison West H. S., when Bob sent Scott Teeple from UM to do his student teaching with us. Scott has continued to build...

The memories I have of H Bob are plentiful and core memories of my childhood. They all involve spending time on the field at the Big House after a football game or a concert at Hill, lots and lots of Dad jokes and sage wisdom after Kirsten and I got into some type of trouble which happened often during high school.
