A True Partnership
Hagay Shefi, son of a retired Israeli brigadier general, Dov Shefi, moved to the United States from Tel Aviv in 1992 and co-founded GoldTier Technologies, a communications company in Mount Olive, N.J. So renowned was his expertise that he was both a featured speaker and a panelist at the Risk Waters conference in Windows on the World on the 106th Floor of 1 World Trade Center on the morning of the terrorist attack.
"People say how ironic it is, that he is from Israel, but I don't see that," said his wife, Sigal. "People from every country were in the trade center that day. Terror can happen anywhere in the world, and it is nothing that you can predict."
Since the funeral on Sunday, she had been remembering what a true partner he was in raising their children, ages 5 and 3, in Tenafly, N.J. – "he helped with everything around the house," she said – and how, despite the long hours at his start-up company, he spent all his spare time with them. "I am thinking he holds me now," Mrs. Shefi said of her husband. "And I am going to keep him, and his way of thinking, in me."
A fine man I'd planned to work with. He was my sales engineer and I could see he had so much more.

To the Shefi Family,
I think of you when I go to the Tenafly library, and I wonder how you are in Israel. I did not know you at the JCC because my son was younger, but you are in my thoughts , especially today. May HaShem bless you always , and the memory of your Hagay.

I will always remember Hagay's the boundless enthusiasm and passion for whatever he did. And I'm most thankful for him providing the opportunity to work for him back in the days he was at Mint.
I pray for the family's continued peace and comfort from the Lord.

To Hagay Shefi's parents, close family, relatives & friends,
Your loss is incomprehensible, enormous and tragic. Words will never suffice.
An enduring and eternal memory will always remain, in the beauty and sorrow of the great piece of music written in Hagay's memory by his loving brother - Shefi.
May it reach heaven, as it should, encompass all the sorrow and console all his dear ones.
