Not sure what to say?

I only know Read, Hal's son from where I work at Bread & Company in Franklin TN. From my time working with Read, I can tell that his dad must have had a great since of humor that he passed to his son. Read has always been funny to work with which makes working at Bread & Company fun.

Like many people whose lives Hal touched, I only knew him professionally. But I liked him a lot. He was kind and patient and knew his work. I'm so saddened by his loss and I wish his family peace.

Ann,
We were saddened to hear of Hal's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and Read.
Andrew and Sue

Ann, Read, and Sam,
You and your families are my prayers at this time. I was so saddened to hear of Hal's sudden death. May the Lord keep you in His loving arms. Patty Brannon (Gary Carpenter's sister)

Steve and I are deeply sorry and shocked to hear of Hal's passing. When I first started my law practice, Hal was very kind and helpful to me. I couldn't have done it without him. He will always have a place in our memories.

Hal and I went to high school together and grew up around the corner from Hal and his family. I will always remember his big smile and sense of humor. My prayers are with Hal's family.

To Sam Davis and family of Hal,

Hal was one of the young members of our Eagle Patrol in Boy Scout Troop 777 in the mid-1960s. I remember him well -- his smile and eagerness to learn and help everybody. I know he was also proud of his father and grandfather and their shared very-grownup-sounding name. It is wonderful to hear how Hal made a difference in people's lives as an adult. Please know I have fond memories of those childhood years and that I am thinking of Hal's...
