Not sure what to say?

Dear Mrs. Horton and Rosalie, I am sorry to hear of your loss. Mr. Horton stands out in my mind from a very young age, for the way he always stopped to genuinely talk to us children at Calvary Moravian, in a way few adults do for children. I have lost count of how many times, since I began practicing law, I have wondered what he would do or think about a situation. I've emailed him in Raleigh from time to time for advice, as recently as a few months ago. There's nothing about him any person...

Dear Horton Family,
Please accept our sincere sympathy for the loss of Mr. Horton. You have been a wonderful neighbor and friend over the years. He will be dearly missed in our community. May God bless you all!
Sincerely,

Dearest Evelyn and Rosalie,
I have never known a more kind person than Ham. His love and caring for others and for me has influenced my life continually during my journey. Each Easter I looked for him to step off the bus on his way to breakfast before the Sunrise Service. Always greeting me with a firm handshake, a gentle smile and an inquiry as to how I was doing. My spiritual life has been richly blessed by his teaching in Sunday School, by his example in worship and by his...

We Love You Both See You Real Soon. THE LOVE FAMILY

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. He will be missed by many.

Dearest Evelyn and Rosalie,
Denny and I were in Ham's Sunday School class during our college days. His teaching style caused us to defend our beliefs with a Christian Scholar. He helped us define our beliefs, appreciate our Moravian heritage, and carry our faith in our daily lives.
We truly loved his contributions of music and wit in our Moravian Band. I find comfort in knowing that Ham and Denny will be buried beside each other in God's Acre. May God's abiding peace surround...

Dear Evelyn,We were sorry to hear of Ham's death.Since we moved away, the opportunity to visit has been curtailed, but Ham has always been a great lawyer and friend to us. You and Rosalie will remain in our prayers. Ernest and Polly Parker

I served on the Moravian Archives Prov. Board with Sen. Horton.
That's when I learned about his good common sense, his good humor and his concern for his fellowman. Ham will be greatly missed.

Dear Evelyn,
Butch and I will really miss hearing
Ham on the radio during our church
services and we will certainly miss
him taking care of us in the Senate.
