Read MoreI remember fondly shopping at Rapp Bros. weekly during the late 50s, 60s and into the 70s. Jake and Elsie were a delight to see each week. The market was a highly popular place to find quality meats. Sorry to hear of Jake's passing, but he topped the 100 mark - good for him. I went to school with Vernon at RHS 1954. I live in Tucson for many years now.

I remember your Dad from the Exchange Club of Reading, my father, Tom Richardson was also a member - your Dad was so funny - I think he is the one who came to the fair, after a bit of rain at the fair in hip boots - it certainly reminds me of something he would do - we had great fun with him at the fair and at the picnics for the Exchange Club. I'm sure you'll have great memories of him forever.
