Hampton "Hamp" Wade

Hampton "Hamp" Wade, 60, resident of 207 Sheffield Road, husband of Lynda Burton Wade, died Thursday March 5, 2015 at his home. Born in Greenwood, October 22, 1954, he was a son of the late James H. "Jimmy" and Louise Fridy Wade. Hamp was a graduate of Greenwood High School and Lander College and was a tax accountant and independent bookkeeper for many years. He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church and was a passionate Clemson and college football fan. Surviving, in addition to his wife of the home, are a stepson, Sullivan Richard of Greenville; one brother, Allen Wade and wife Karen of Naples, FL; one nephew, Jamie Wade of Boston, MA; and his beloved dog, "Little Bit". Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Andy Roberson officiating. Burial will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Billy Bear, Eric Burton, Brooks Parnell, Kenny Timmerman, Mike Shurden, Bill Gray and John Williams. The family is at the home of Brooks and Lynn Parnell, 114 Woodhaven Ct., and will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 4 Sunday afternoon.
