Dr Karon: although I did not have the pleasure of knowing your mother, I will always be thankful that she brought you into this world and to America. She was a beautiful lady with a most interesting history that is to be admired for her strength and resilience. I know you will miss her going forward, but know you will be reunited with her when your journey ends. May God provide you with wonderful memories and comfort.

Querida Magdalene - I have such wonderful memories of delicious meals at your family home in Houston (pierogis & stuffed cabbage that to this day I've never found the equal). Your mom always made me feel so welcome - their home was my second home. What a warm, brave, lovely woman. May she rest in peace. Besos

Stumbled across her obit. What a beauty, what a life story. Maybe you should write a book. Our world needs heros.

Dear Dr. Karon and family: I did not know Hanna, but she was beautiful. Her life was so interesting. I know you will miss her. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I did not know Hannah Karon, however this life story is quite compelling, worthy of a novel or motion picture as well. I think it also should be read by children as a history lesson, so they can tell the horror of totalitarianism, and the beauty of freedom, here in America.
