HANNAH ZAPPIN

Although I never knew Hannah, I woke up this morning thinking of her. In 1973, my parents had a horrible car accident. My mother, Sheila Moyer, almost died and was in hospitals for months. I remember her telling me that Hannah Zappin sent her a card every week. Someone she barely knew. With my own life struggles, this memory has come back to me. That Hannah made it a priority to continually reach out to others in such a caring way is so inspiring. I thought you would want to know of her...

So difficult to hear of Suga's passing. I was a Valerie school teacher and often stopped to chat with her on my way home. We both went to Hair Etc on Main street before she moved South of town. She was the kindest lady to everyone she spoke with. Hannah always showed a true interest in others.
