I worked with Dr. Tohver for 16 years as the secretary for the Dept. of Physics. I will always remember his smile, his wit, and when the threat of the fire marshall made him clean up his office.

I feel lucky to have known him! He was always upbeat and quick with a joke. Jennifer and I will miss him very much.

Mrs. Tohver, Valeria, Eric and Marisa, my thoughts and prayers are with you all as you move through your grief. Mom will be there today bearing the love and best wishes of our family.

A favorite teacher who taught me calculus without telling me he was teaching me calculus -a most clever and witty man to whom I owe so much.

I am so sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed Mr. Tohver's animated personality when I was growing up. I'm glad I got to see him a few years ago in Atlanta. God bless.

He will be missed. He was full of life, witty, and a wonderful story-teller. We were fortunate to count him as a family friend growing up.

We are so sorry for your loss. We enjoyed chatting with him (especially about fishing trips) in Campbell Hall and I sent many a biology major to his physics classes. We know you will miss him terribly.

I'm so sad to hear of Dr. Tohver's passing. I worked with him in the Physics Dept at UAB for ten years. He was a favorite of mine. I had the pleasure of canoeing with him, Jim Hawk and my husband at Locust Fork and always enjoyed his tales about fish/canoe trips to Canada. He was full of life and will be missed by many. My prayers for all his loved ones.
