I was an elementary school student of Mrs. Balukonis from the early 1990's and have never forgotten her. It truly was a privilege to know such a kind and compassionate person. My sympathies to her loved ones.

Sorry to read of your mom's passing. I fondly remember those ski trips to Stowe VT and grilling on the deck at the ski club. In later years we would see your mom and dad at the Legion every afternoon to sign the book and decompress before heading home.
