I was just sitting in my room, and Mr. Borm popped into my head. I never heard that he passed away. I had him for mathematics and computer programming in 1983 -84. I also got the guts to ask him if he needed help with the girls' volleyball team and made me an assistant coach! I missed the team photo for the yearbook, which he apologized for profusely. Great man, and we kept in touch for years after, when I worked at BASKIN ROBBINS. He LOOOVED ice cream. I can still hear him say, "...

I just heard about this and I am sorry that I am so late..
I met Mr. Borm actually on the first day of 7th grade in 1990, I was a little lost in the halls.. He pointed me in the right direction. I will always remember him in his hawaiian shirt. I thought to myself he doesn't dress like a teacher. But come to find out he was the best teacher I ever had.. I was on his volleyball team, chess club and then also in the 8th grade I became a teacher aide for him.. I missed him in high school. He...

My husband Rick and I just read about Mr. Borm, he was our Math teacher at Barlett back in 1978-1980.Mr. Borm was a wonderful caring teacher and was always fair, fun, kind and generous with his time, there was no question that he wouldn't answer. Rick remembers when Mr. Borm started the chess club at Barlett. RIP we will always remember you!
