HANS WILLIAM VOGEL

I wish I had had the opportunity to correspond with you. I was born and reared in Trier (Germany) you mentioned in your writings. At that time (March 1945) we (my mom, sister and I) had been evacuated and lived in the Hunsrueck area. We returned to Trier in the early part of April 1945 and much later read some of the circumstances you and your fellow GI's liberated my hometown. I thank you and your fellow soldiers for this, even though you're gone.

Rest now Hans you had a incredible life full of adventures and prosperity
You and Bobbi were the best neighbors and we will always remember you both
