Not sure what to say?

Dr. Loe and his wife made life for others better. Thank you for your lessons and inspiration! Thinking of his family and friends in their blessed memories.

I remember Hardy and Lee very fondly. I knew of them when I lived in Houston in the early 1990s, but really got to know them through my friendship with Claire in Austin. They were wonderful, so kind and welcoming. I´m glad they lived such long and meaningful lives. I will miss them very much!

Dr. Loe and his bride were certainly "change makers." Dr. Loe was my MPH advisor and friend. Lee was part of my conflict and peace community. I am sitting here looking at a wonderful wooden painted box that they gifted me for one of my 39 birthdays. It is now an even more cherished rememberance of them. May their memories be eternal and bring blessings !

So many great memories of working with Hardy --- Hardy, Frank Moore and I did the two community assessment studies and work in the Lower Rio Grande Valley. We and a variety of students spent many weeks living there - as we believed that we had to live there to really understand what people needed to know to improve health and well-being of the population there, and for health care needs and access to be addressed appropriately. So great to work with like-minded, generous of time and thought...

Hardy and Lee shared so much of themselves with me for so many experiences we had together at First Church and in starting the Martin L. King Community Center. I think of them both so many times and will continue to do so.

One of the gentlest and humblest men I ever met, I was grateful to know him through both the Houston peace community and UT School of Public Health. Of course, my affection for and appreciation of Hardy would not be complete without Lee, who invited me into her peace advocacy and working on the Houston Peace News. What an amazing couple they were. My memories of both of them are blessings I will cherish as long as I live. Jerry Wald

To Dr. and Mrs. Loe's Family, My mom and dad, Dr. Isaac and Anne Konigsberg often spoke of Dr. and Mrs. Loe. Dad worked with Dr. Loe through the dental and public health school. They were grateful for your their friendship on a personal and professional level. May your memories bring you comfort during this time.

Your quiet presence, centeredness, humility, keen observational skills and guidance made a lasting impact in my personal and professional life. I am so glad to have known you. Thank you again. You will be remembered always. M. desVignes-Kendrick, MD
