ROCKINGHAM, N.C. — Mr. Hardy Nicholson Jr., 82, of 212 Mount Olive Church Road, Rockingham, passed quietly on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at his residence with his son Zachary (Bobbie) Nicholson at his side.

I played a lot of Golf with Hardy back in the Day. I always felt like a friend to Him. He taught Me a lot about Golf. He was always a Gentleman. So sorry that I haven't seen him in many years. So I say Rest In Peace Mr. Hardy Nicholson. Looking toward to teeing it up with You again one day.

The world just lost a great soul to the lord. We would love to see hardy come in to the store we could not get anything done while he was there but he was our break for the day, every time he came in the door.Now my daddy has another friend in heaven.

Hardy you were a friend of my family from the first day we met you. Will miss you and your words of comedy. We loved you. You were always there for me when we needed a plumber. So sorry for you loss. Such a nice man. I remember him playing golf with my late husband Butch Johnson many years ago. Butch passed away 35 years ago to May 26.
