I am sorry to hear about Hardy passing away. My condolences to you and your family. I have many fond memories of family cookouts and gatherings that my children and I attended at the Simmons' household. I always looked forwarded to 'chowing down' on Hardy's okra soup!

I wanted to take this time to first thank all of you for leaving such wonderful thoughts and reflections to our family in our time of bereavement. now to my family i know we all thought that uncle hardy would have been with us forever in a way he still is. through his children and grandchildren and God had granted him the priviledge to be there for his great grandchild who was a star in his eyes as well. he was a father, husband, dad, patriarch, disciplinarian, "judge", advisor, "mr. fixit"...
