My thoughts and prayers are with you at this most sorrowful time. The first time I saw Harlan was entering Wharton . I was standing with my son George, and I pointed across the grassy knoll to a guy who was dragging a mattress and carrying a plant. I said to George, who is that guy? I thought it was funny! Little did I know they would become best of friends. I have enjoyed that memory over the years.

I met Harlan at Wharton Business School and ended up sharing a house with him and others 2nd year on 44th and Osage Avenue. My memories of Harlan include the following: 1. Great sense of humor stands out among all. 2nd year talent show he sung "Your Song" by Elton John with George Hall playing piano. Sending my love, thoughts and prayers to your family. So profoundly sad and sorry for your loss.

Eden, through you, I feel as if I had met Harlan and had seen this giant of a man, not only in stature, but in spirit, determination and sheer strength of will. His legacy will live on in your children, in your hearts and in the love you will always carry for your dear husband and partner. I wish you all peace and comfort in spite of your immediate suffering. All my love and strength to you and your extended family.
