WEBER CITY, VA – HARLAND JACKSON ERVIN, AGE 75
Harland Jackson Ervin, age 75 of Weber City, VA finished his race and went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.
He was born in Kingsport, TN on November 1, 1948 to the late Charles and Francis Queen Ervin. Harland served in the United States Army. He was a member of Gate City United Pentecostal Church. The Joy of his life was his grandchildren. He enjoyed horseback riding. Harland was sincere, kind, genuine and loved unconditionally.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa Lee Ervin; 2 daughters, Beth Rodriguez (Nelson) and April Lane (Tyler); 2 sons, Tim Hensley and Josh Ervin; grandchildren, Amanda Carter (Jeffery), Jessica Walker (Bo), Isaac Shepard, Anna Shepard, Melody Shepard, Esteban Rodriguez, Ella Lane, Eliza Lane and Eva Lane; several great-grandchildren; sister, Charlene Brickey (Ron); brother, Ken Ervin (Audrey); along with several nieces and nephews.
There will be no funeral home visitation as requested by Harland. There will be a graveside service held on Friday, December 8, 2023 at 12 PM in the Ervin Family Cemetery on Manville Ridge with Pastor Danny Grizzle officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Colonial Funeral Home in Weber City, VA at 11 AM to go in precession to the cemetery. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Posts #3/265 and Virginia National Guard Honors Team.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
