Harless Benthul

Harless hired me as in attorney in The 1970s in the enforcement division at the US environmental protection agency. I think I was the first woman he had hired and it was a bold move on his part. He was an excellent boss. My dad was also a sailor and he and I visited Harless a few times after he had moved to the Houston area. My condolences to all the family. To the Benthul family:
I was a student at South Ward School in Longview when Mr HE Benthul was principal; finished 7th grade in 1946. I never knew Mr Benthul's family, but I recall having liked Mr B as our principal.
I just by chance saw this obituary today in The Dallas News and it brought back memories of South Ward.
