I was hoping to see you one last time and sit on the bench at the common and discuss all the things that happened in Shirley and folks we knew back in the late 40's and early 50's. Remember the night the Old Town Hall got hit by lightening and all us kids were at the movie theater in Ayer? Remember the Morelands, the Dodges, the Thompsons, the Hartmans, Mr. Stetson at the corner store, Harry Johnson, the postmaster and many, many more.
