Not sure what to say?

No one alive knew about Bob Dylan the way Eddie did.
Late night card games. Volley ball at Paradise Beach and rafting down the American River before it was cool.
The kirbies came together with his leadership.
His favorite story about a ball bouncing back in to his moving car and his amount of (hole in ones) at William Land Park ate legendary.
What a full life he had.
Taken too soon.
I will always remember you.
Im 72 and our friendship keeps me laughing wnen...

I remember playing cantata for 12 hours with all the gang at ron dorrs house, and having you mad as hell if we could not remember words to bob dylan songs. You were one of a kind and your voice wow. Rest in peace Johnny rocket.I know you are up there with r5 and Ronnie, singing songs and looking for a good river to craft down.

grandpa i love and miss you so much wish i could see you

I will never forget you Eddie. I am sorry it has been a few years since I last saw you but I think of you often. The river and Tahoe Park are just not the same without you.

I love you uncle eddie. & I will forever miss you.

I am sorry to learn that Mr. Asher has passed. Please reflect on John 14:1: Do not let your hearts be troubled. Exercise faith in God; exercise faith also in me (Jesus).

Eddie,

Sacramento, Ca. - Summer 1975.

C'mon Eddie, grab your cut-offs, we are burn'n daylight.
Let's go to the river (Paradise Beach). Call Timmy & Ronny. I'll call Dick Lampley, Randy, Ronnie, Richard & Bob Harries. I've got tubes in the car. We'll stop & buy some beer. I've got "Matches".

Wonderful memories with our best pal Eddie.
Be well. We'll always love & miss you Eddie.
You & Ronny save a sand chair for me on Heaven's American River (South Fork).

Awwwww the memories. I met you when i was 3. You were 8. Remember the time a bunch of us caravaned to Yosemite to climb Half Dome? I was 16. You were much older. "C'mon babe you can do it. Just don't look down." Both directions i stared down those two red stripes at the top of your white knee highs. We did it! Beat everyone by hours. I so trusted you. I am so sad you are not here. Damn it. A true 56th street legion. Throughout our 60 year friendship, never ever once were you...

February 21, 2015 May the angels in heaven look after you my dear Eddie Asher. Knowing Eddie since Jr. High School (Peter Lassen and through high school (Hiram Johnson) was like no other. Talk about knowing every one he did and everyone knew him. My last visit with him was the class reunion on the river cruise. If I am not mistaken, his good friend Jesse brought him he had told me that he was glad he came and was having a great time.
With deepest sympathy - Noralee (Todd) Parsons
