Harley Davis Obituary
Aug. 7, 1929 - Aug. 11, 2011
Harley Blaine Davis, 82, of Sarasota formerly of West Virginia passed away August 11, 2011. from pancreatic cancer.
He was born Zailia, WV. Stationed in Sarasota with the Air Force during the Korean conflict, he met his bride, Lois of 57 years.
Together they raised three children, Michael, Terri and Renee, who gave them five grandchildren.
He was a big sports fan and spent several years coaching his son's Little League and Babe Ruth teams. Spending their summers in the mountains of North Carolina and their winters in Sarasota was their way of life after Harley retired from General Mills as an Account Manager for over 30 years. They shared a life full of travel, a close family, and great friends. He had an incredible sense of humor and had the ability to make others laugh no matter the situation. He was a wonderful man, husband and father, leaving behind family and friends with everlasting memories of laughter and love.
He will be missed dearly but will never be forgotten.
Only a private family memorial service is scheduled.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested any desired donations be made to TideWell hospice of Sarasota.

We will remember Harley forever. From the days when we where kids who all had the name of "Buella May" and he would pinch us and make us scream and cry, to the days when he was just a Great Friend and we enjoyed the time together as adults. There are so many years of memories we will never run out. Love to All the Davis's and Family.
