Professor Buning was my favorite teacher at the U of MI. He inspired his students to learn and we enjoyed his lectures that were filled with a wonderful combination of theory and anecdotal information. His students and all folks that had the pleasure of his company continue to treasure those fond memories of the great Prof. Buning

Harm was a great teacher, his knowledge and wit made every class enjoyable. His experiences and stories will carry on through his students (though I don't think I can get the accent down).
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of grief. Remember the good times and jovial spirit of Harm.
