Harmony Robinson Obituary

Harmony E. Robinson Naples, FL

Harmony Elizabeth Robinson was born October 3rd 1980 in Berrien Center, MI and resided in Coloma, MI, "Home of Deer Forrest", for the first nine years of her life. She was baptized at Coloma UMC and attended St. Joseph Catholic Elementary in Watervliet, MI. She was one of the beloved kids of "Momma" Carole Sandeen who was her after school caregiver.

She and her family moved to Clarendon, PA in 1989. Harmony bloomed there. She was a member of the Clarendon UMC and then Grace UMC in Warren PA. She was active in both church youth groups, was a member of the Youth Connection, an all county high school choral ensemble and she was on the Sheffield High School volley ball team. She was always so proud that she was chosen to be a Dream Girl in the outstanding 1997 all county high school production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Coat and she was also a valued and well loved member of Warren Players, the longest continuous running amateur theater company in the United States.

She moved to Naples, FL with her family in 1997 and graduated from Barron Collier High School in 1999. She was active in the Barron Collier chorus and theater troop. She was a member of Cornerstone UMC and sang in the choir and also the Holy Moly band.

Harmony will always be remembered for her generous loving heart and brilliant smile. She loved to sing Karaoke and was invited to sing the National Anthem at Germaine Arena where she received a standing ovation for her performance. Harmony was also a first class server and worked in several Naples restaurants. She loved her job and took great pride in providing her customers with friendly, impeccable service and a great dining experience.

Tragically, Harmony lost her battle with alcohol addiction on Thursday night June 24th 2010.

She is survived by her heartbroken parents, Craig and Ginger Robinson who reside in Naples FL; her sister, Sonnet Robinson who resides in Gainesville FL; her grandparents, Richard and Barbara Robinson of Bonita Springs; her partner, George Scott Gonzalez of Naples; and her faithful loving cats, Stinky Inky, Butternut and Marley

She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins who have loved her dearly and enriched her life as well as a wealth of friends who will mourn her passing.

She was greeted on the other side by her grandfather, Walter DeWolff; her grandmother, Edith Ellen Wright; her great-grandmothers, Angeline DeWolff and Henrietta LaDage; her Aunt Goldie, Aunt Francis, Aunt Savannah, Uncle James, Aunt Sandy, Aunt Florence, Uncle Danny, Uncle Dan, Tante; and her beloved pets, Smokey, Tippy, Annie, Mittens, Bronwyn, Raja, Rameses and Peeper.

All her life Harmony was a giver and in death her parents chose to honor her memory by continuing her legacy. Her beautiful eyes will be helping people to see and her beautiful skin will be helping burn victims to heal.

A celebration of her life will be held at Cornerstone UMC, 8200 Immokalee Road (just east of Gulf Coast High School) on Sunday, July 4th 2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please bring any photos or memories you would like to share with her family and friends. We will be having "open mike".

Her ashes will be traveling home to Warren County Pennsylvania at a later date.

The family requests that instead of flowers, memorial donations be made to the organization that provided her with the happiest days in her life, Warren Players.

Donations may be mailed to: Struther's Library Theater C/O Warren Players P.O Box 6 Warren, PA 16365.

i was shocked to learn of Harmony's tragic death at such an early age. I remember her singing with you in the Warren Festival of the Arts. I had just viewed her performance as I was browsing through the past 30 years of the WFA (which we'll celebrate Aug. 20th). My heart hurts for you and Craig. I send my love, Roz Hupp

Harmony was one of the sweetest, most genuine individuals that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Her voice was incredible, and I remember working hard to be half as good as her. She was a natural in both her ability to connect with others, and in her singing talents. She will be greatly, and sorely missed.

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why Harmony left this earth so soon, or why she left before you were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that she has passed, but that she lived. And that her life gave you memories too beautiful to forget.

Like a bird singing in the rain, let your grateful memories survive in your time of sorrow.

Harmony was a joy to know. We were
so fond of her and will always
remember her smiling face.

I pray for this beautiful soul. I did not know her personaly but am intimately familar with her struggle with the Maligancy that took her life. God has unknow plans for all of us. I am certain that he took her home to protect her beautiful spirit from furthur pain and torment on earth. Harmony did not want you to suffer furthur, but to rejoice in knowing that she is peacefuly in heaven. Blessings on you all. WW Gilman
