I taught with Harold and very quickly realized that though he was a big guy with a big voice, he was a very gentle giant. My thoughts go out to his family.

Mr. Bonnikson was my math teacher at Healdsburg Jr. High. Always with a big booming voice, yet gentle as a kitty cat. He was always more than ready to shelve the days lesson plan for discussions of his travels in the service.....so long as Mr. Ruonavarra didn't find that out. And, we always enjoyed that much more !! My condolences to his family....

Pete, I am sorry to hear of the loss of your father. I still recall with fondness our time together with the Volunteer Center, and hope your life has gone well in the intervening years. Sheila Albert

I'm sorry to learn of Harold's death.
I taught and fished with him for several years. He was a good guy and fun to talk with and be around. I'm sure his family will miss him.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Harold was a lovely man. I taught with him for years. He never had a harsh word for anyone - a truly good and generous person. I have been wondering how Harold was. Glad to hear he's been fishing!
