Not sure what to say?

There is so much more to life than slices of it. I shared 1951-1955 with Hal at Rantoul Township High School and then we didn't reconnect until long after we had each retired from our chosen profession, he in Washington, DC and me in Washington State. Harold was a scholar in several fields of endeavor and his decision to publish means that he will have influence far beyond his earthly years and the impact he had on family and friends through the years. It continue to be grateful for the...

Hal was one of the most intelligent, thoughtful, caring individuals I've ever known. Though I never met Hal in person I truly came to love and respect him. Through him, God blessed me in many ways. He taught me many things in the almost two years I conversed with him by e-mail. My gratitude for his help and counsel remain as a fond memory. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends

I was broken-hearted when I learned of the death of my cousin Harold Raymond. Although 17 years younger than him, I wish sure that I was going to grow up and marry him. He always made me feel extra special, but I think that is how he made everyone feel. My Father Charles Cannon and my Uncle John Miller gave the Booher Brothers their first football and taught them how to play the game. Harold Raymond will be missed by too many people to count.

HAROLD, You bring back reality to my life as well. I always enjoyed calling in your point scores after a game. You were a 'star'. I'm sure you will keep looking down on that family of yours. Keep those arch-angel flapping around heaven.

June and Ann Fox

Condolences to the family from the Fox family who spent our growing up years in Gifford. I spent 12 years of school with Harold and always knew he was special.

The remark from a classmate was from John J Shaffer, born at Ludlow and a classmate at Rantoul Township High School. Hal was a star athlete and a scholar. He was #2 and I was #7 or 10 out of 70. I don't even remember. But I do remember that he was a good friend of many, including myself. John J. Shaffer

My condolences to Harold's extended family and friends. Hal was one of my high school friends and it was a pleasure to reconnect with him in our retirement years. He blessed me with some of his academic work in retirement. He was very proud of his family. My thoughts will be with you as you celebrate his life.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
