Harold was my doctor for 35+ years, and I like to think, my friend. He was one of kind, a doctor that called to see how you were doing, would get back to you night or day and who could diagnose any medical problem. After visits we often laughed our heads off in his office telling stories about our families or life in general. I was so impressed when he taught himself Italian, but, that's Harold. My sincere condolences to his children. He spoke about all of them often and I know they were his greatest joy.

Harold was my doctor from 1982 -1992 at which time, his mom ran the front desk. He was referred to me by my great uncle who had also gone to him and who was always grateful to him for the attentive loving care and home visits that he made to his chronically ill sister, my great aunt. My uncle was originally referred to Harold by a hair client of mine who had gone to Jacob Bornstein, Harold's father, and who also raved about the care that he gave. Harold was a lifelong friend. He was a resident with Steve Klein MD. He was a caring father, husband, and a superb physician who cared for his patients.
He was the ultimate diagnostician. Someone Dr. William Osler would have been proud of. But above and beyond that he was the ultimate father and husband. He adored his children and his wife Melissa. The success of his children was his proudest achievement
