Nine years old, I watched man first land on the moon at The Brunson's house. He warmly welcomed me visiting Hillcreek Baptist, from the pulpit, 35 years later. Typical of his loving heart and learned mind was his joyful remembrance of me after so many years. Walking into that church was one small step for this man, which brought one giant leap of gratitude to God for Bro Brunson in my life.

Hal and Sonia,
Pam and I are so sorry for your loss, and although he is not with us any longer, your Dad will never be forgotten.
Bro.Harold was very instrumental in my accepting salvation, and then baptized me one Sunday evening shortly thereafter. My Mother Margie and especially my Dad Joe T. loved him very much as well.
Bless you both during this time, we love you,

Sonia & Family, Words cannot say how we feel about our precious Brother Harold. We were so blessed by just knowing Brother Harold and Miss Ollie. Even with our shattered hearts, we know Brother Harold is with his precious Miss Ollie, and we know this is not the end - we will see them again. Love to you all!

What a blessing is was to say we knew your father, he was a wonderful person, always kind and with a laughing, loving spirit. I know that you guys will miss him so much, but what a picture it paints in your mind to see him and your mother walking hand in hand again, on either side of the Lord. Our prayers go out to all of you in this time of loss and of joy. yours in Christ Harry and Denise

I remember Bro. Harold when he first came to JBC. He was our missionary at Bryan Street Baptist. Memories flood my soul when I think of the many times Bro. Jones and I spent w/ Bro. Harold. I look forward to the great reunion we will have one day. My husband, Bro. E.L. Jones and my son, Clifton surely met Bro. Harold at the gate. Much love, Mrs. E.L. Jones

47 years ago I walked the aisle at First Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Texas. Dr. Harold Brunson was at the end of that aisle when I accepted Christ as my personal savior! I will always be appreciative for his teachings and leadership in that church that led me to Christ. Hal and Sonia, this is a sad but proud day for you both. What a great leagacy your father has left you and your children. Hal, I think of you often. We had some great times.

Bro. Brunson was our Pastor at Long Creek and we truly loved him and Miss Ollie. My children still ask about Bro. Brunson and say how much they always loved his sermons. My youngest, now 24, was only 4 years old when Bro. Brunson came to LongCreek. She always sit on the front row because from time to time he always needed her help. There is and never will be another like this man of God. He will be missed here on earth but his new home in glory is a richly deserved reward. Our thoughts...
