Shocked and very sad to learn of Harold's passing at such a young age. Harold Buchholz was a quintessential gentleman and scholar, and marvelous conversationalist. Always willing to share his FLW residence with others, Harold toured many of my West Coast friends, architects and architectural historians, through his home. I will always remember a lovely Summer afternoon with Harold sitting in his garden and sharing thoughts on the elegant, beautifully architected Oshkosh that used to be....

I am so sorry to read of Harold's passing. He provided a wonderful service to the City of Oshkosh with his years of involvement and dedication. It was in that capacity that I met and came to know Harold. I had much respect for him and the City will surely feel his loss. May the Lord comfort you and give you peace and understanding during this and the difficult times ahead. Rest in peace, Harold, and thank you for your service to the City.
