HAROLD S. DAYNARD

DAYNARD--Harold Saunders. Beloved father of Lynne Daynard Flexner, Jodi Daynard, and Matthew Daynard, died after a brief illness on Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Mr. Daynard, who was ninety-six years old, had been the loving husband of Frances Wertman Daynard (1920-2011) for seventy-five years. He is survived by his children, three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. A successful attorney, Mr. Daynard received his Law Degree from New York University and founded the firm of Daynard & Van Thunen, Inc. He was the author of several books on law and a distinguished intellect. His passions were reading and critical discussion on topics ranging from politics and religion to ancient history. Mr. Daynard was also a gifted musician who played piano and several other instruments. He shared his love and his gifts with all of us and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel at 81st and Madison Avenue in Manhattan, at. 12:30pm, on Sunday, November 4, 2012.
