Bud was my husband's classmate at both Deerfield as well as he Naval Academy and I so enjoyed knowing him as John's friend and close friend to Stew Hancock. My greatest pleasure was to sing along with these guys, as I knew many of he harmonies to the old songs and we had a wonderful time together. We saw each other at reunions and I felt that Bud and Stewie were two of John closest friends from that era in his life. John passed away peacefully a year ago in October. I hope his widow can find...

Bud was a true gentleman, scholar, philanthropist, and one of the kindest souls I have ever met. I had the pleasure of getting to know Bud when I worked for MPH. I live in Pittsburgh, Pa and my name is "Earl Havill" I recognized the name in the Syracuse obituaries. My father and grandfather worked for Bud at OM Edwards all of their lives ( J B Havill and J B Havill Jr.). I met Mr Edwards on one occasion, when my mother died, as he arrived just after the funeral home closed for the viewing and he came to the house to express his condolences. I want to express my condolences for him at this time.

i remember Sarah and Bud Edwards when they lived on Sedgwick Dr. in Syracuse, New York, back in the 80's. What a lovely couple they were - so devoted to one another. They both were involved in many community activities and programs. My daughter and I went to visit them in Maine on Orr's Island. What a remarkable man and such a wonderful life he led. I remember one time I called Sarah in Maine and Bud answered the phone and out of nowhere he started reciting Shakespeare to me. I'll never...
