My sincere condolences. I did not know Mr. Englet however yesterday 31 October 2024 I was at the goodwill bins in Milwaukie and found a pillowcase that looked much like the ones members of my unit received when deploying to UAE. Inside I found an honor flight quilt with Harold Englet's name, written in beautiful cursive, as the recipient in 2015. I purchased it, brought it home and displayed it. I honor his selfless duty while serving in the Merchant Marines during WWII. Rest in Peace.

As a cousin by marriage (Lorraine) I just learned of Harold passing away. I aways enjoyed his personality when visiting him and Lorraine. Tried to contact him and learned his phone was disconnected. Do matter the subject he always had a story to tell or an observation and always positive. I have no way to contact his daughters as I would like to do.

I'm so sorry I am not able to be at Harold's memorial tomorrow. My thoughts are with you all. Harold was such a kind heart and soul, and a pleasure to work with. He always had a smile on his face and was a consummate professional. It was a ball spending time with him on his 90th birthday-- full of fun and energy to his last days. My best to you, Cheryl, Joni and Gini. You were blessed with a wonderful father. The good Lord is lucky to have him.

We had been neighbors at Grant Tower for many years and it was always a pleasure to chat with Harold when we'd bump into each other in the garage or the lobby getting our mail. My husband and I along with Harold and Lorraine shared a love for dancing and years ago there were a couple of places locally where you could have dinner and dance. Often we met Harold and Lorraine at the same night spot and so enjoyed watching them dance together, they were in step in every way. I will miss seeing...

It was such an honor to have worked with Harold at the Oregon Symphony! He was the ultimate volunteer, patron, and music enthusiast. May you and Lorraine enjoy your new concert seats from above.
