Harold Evans “Jack” Leonard, Sr., 85, passed away on March 22, 2026. He was born at home on August 30, 1940, to Walter & Henrietta Allen Leonard in Redhill/Radcliff, KY. He was known as Jack to whomever knew him.
Jack was a former musician / entertainer, he started his music career around the age of 16, playing bass & singing. He cut several records in his younger years, one being “A Visit From The Devil” on the Royce Records label. Jack went on to play with some of the countries most notable musicians, i.e.…. around the age of 21 he began playing with Pee Wee King, playing at the Grand Ole Opry and ending his music career playing with Ernest Tubb and The Texas Troubadours.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Wanda Saltsman; one nephew, Dale Saltsman; one son, Kevin Leonard; and one great grandson, Mackin Ray Hamilton, II.
Jack is survived by his wife of 25 years, Barbara Sternberg Leonard; two daughters, Kelly (Mack) Hamilton, Kimberly Leonard Spears; one son, Harold Leonard, Jr.; ten grand children, Krystal, Kellin, Katlin, Ashley, Haili, Lauren, Heather, Hunter, Brett and Dayton; ten great grandchildren, Gavin, Lillian, Elly Kay, Mathew, Avah, Stella, John, Emily, Theo, Kol; one sister, Sue Caswell; one nephew, Dean (Diane) Caswell; two great-nieces, Brittney and Sarah; and one great-nephew, Clint.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
