Obituary
EVERETT, Harold Edward, 76, of Richmond, died October 20, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Everett; his parents, Ralph and Hattie Everett; and grandson, J.B. Sale. He is survived by his sister, Geneva Mills; five sons, Jeff and Mark Everett, Pat (Flo) Shumate, Tom (Wanda) Shumate and Kenny (Lisa) Shumate; daughter, Sandra (Walt) Lund; 18 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and countless friends and family. He was a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a retired member of the 192nd Fighter Group of the Virginia Air National Guard. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bliley's-Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Road, where services will be held 12 noon Saturday. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park.

It has been at least 40 yrs. since I last saw Harold, but he was always one of my favorite people. He could always make us laugh. I extend my sympathy to all his family and loved ones.
